Michael Brown
Founder, Percussion Arranger,
Sound Designer
Michael Brown is a versatile percussion arranger, sound designer, and composer based in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Michael’s musical journey began at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC), where he earned his Associate of Arts degree. During his time at MGCCC, he performed with the Band of Gold Drumline and Gulf Coast Independent, an Independent Open Class ensemble that competed in the WGI World Championships. Michael then pursued a Bachelor of Music in Composition and Audio Production from Berklee College of Music, focusing on his passion for film and TV composition.
Now a full-time professional, Michael is recognized for his work as a percussion arranger and sound designer for marching bands and percussion ensembles nationwide. As a commercial music producer, Michael creates trailer music, game audio, and promotional media. Additionally, he works as a freelance music engraver and recording producer for various music publishers.

Michael’s work draws on his deep love of cinematic music, with influences from renowned composers like Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, and Brian Tyler. Michael’s compositions aim to blend the art of storytelling with music in a way that resonates with audiences, similar to music and picture in film industry.
Throughout his career, he has taught and consulted with numerous marching percussion ensembles along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, helping students and programs achieve excellence.
Spencer Davis
Percussion Arranger,
Sound Designer
Spencer Davis, a native of Summit, Mississippi, is a seasoned music educator and percussionist. He graduated from North Pike High School and earned his Associate of Arts in Music Education from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he served as drumline captain of the Band of Gold and performed with various percussion ensembles and the wind ensemble. During his time at MGCCC, Spencer was honored with the Sam P. Jones Memorial Scholarship. He continued his studies at the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. While at USM, Spencer participated in numerous prestigious ensembles, including The Pride of Mississippi Marching Band, the USM Wind Ensemble, the Southern Miss Percussion Ensemble, and the Southern Miss Steel Pan Orchestra (SoMisPO).
Spencer also gained valuable experience during the summers, marching with Spirit of Atlanta and Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps in Drum Corps International (DCI).
Spencer's teaching experience includes serving as the battery caption head and battery arranger for St. Martin Independent, an A-Class Silver Medalist independent indoor percussion ensemble based in Ocean Springs, MS. He has also been a member of the percussion staff for Memphis Blues Drum and Bugle Corps. Currently, Spencer serves as the Percussion Coordinator and Assistant Band Director at Center Hill High School in Olive Branch, MS, where he writes and arranges percussion for both the marching band and indoor percussion programs.

Tahveyei Brooks
Battery Arranger, Social Media Specialist
Tahveyei Brooks is a skilled and dedicated battery arranger and percussion educator with a passion for helping students reach their full musical potential. As the Percussion Director for the Stone County School District, he brings years of experience in both performance and education to his role. Tahveyei graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Film and Video Production, and it was during this time that he began teaching part-time at high schools along the Mississippi coast. He also served as the battery coordinator for Open-Class Gulfport Percussion.
In addition to his teaching role, Tahveyei has written battery music for schools across Mississippi and Alabama, sharing his expertise to elevate the performance quality of high school and collegiate percussion programs. A lifelong learner, he returned to school to pursue a Master’s degree in Music Education at William Carey University. His background in video production has also enabled him to produce high-quality marching band and indoor reveal videos, offering a unique and professional touch to the marching arts community.
Tahveyei is dedicated to blending technical expertise with creativity, providing an environment that challenges students while inspiring them to innovate. Whether arranging for a drumline, directing a section, or producing a video, he is committed to excellence and the continued growth of young musicians.

De'Arion Johnson
Battery Arranger
De'Arion Johnson serves as the dedicated battery coordinator for Gulfport High School, where he focuses on fostering excellence in music education and percussion performance.
With a strong educational foundation, De'Arion began his studies at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (Perkinston Campus and Jefferson Davis Campus), specializing in music. He furthered his expertise in Music Production at Full Sail University for a semester, and is currently completing his bachelor's degree in Music Education at William Carey University.
Throughout his career, De'Arion has collaborated with various high schools along the Gulf Coast, sharing his passion for music and percussion. His mission is to inspire and elevate students' skills, helping them reach their full potential through discipline, creativity, and teamwork.
Joshua Leyda
Wind Arranger, Sound Designer (Collaborator)
Graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor's in Music.
Previously studied songwriting at Kingston University London.
From Augusta, Georgia.
Joshua is a composer located in Charlotte, North Carolina who shares a passion for marching band music and pageantry show design. Josh has composed music for many high school and collegiate marching bands all across the United States. He is most known for his modern approach to composing and his creative electronic sound design.

Alongside band music, Josh enjoys songwriting and producing music primarily in the hip-hop/rap genres. Over the coming years, he plans to spend more time producing and furthering his knowledge in audio engineering.
